Description

Regal and refined with an oversized nib and barrel, the Pilot Custom Urushi fountain pen boasts a two-toned nib size 30 made of 18K gold and rhodium. The impressive, nib size is designed for maximum impact and is significantly more expansive than the size 15 nib of the Custom 823.

The Custom Urushi is crafted from black ebonite and lacquered with pure Urushi lacquer (a natural sap) by Japanese maki-e artisans. Like their Namiki pens, Pilot uses a lacquering technique called Roiro, which requires substantial time and skill to create a uniform and mirror-like finish. Each Custom Urushi pen barrel is lacquered, cured and polished three times to create an exquisite finish in combination with luxurious custom gold elements. 

It comes in a stylish presentation box with a Pilot CON-70 converter inside the pen and two black IC-50 ink cartridges. Bookbinders Design is an authorised Pilot stockist.
